Manual for Calculating Energy Output Indicators

In 2009, the Energy Community of Practice (CoP) of the Asian Development Bank developed a set of indicators covering the 2009 Energy Policy and the ADB’s corporate results framework level 2 indicators. These indicators would be used as a tool to monitor ADB’s policy implementation.

As an initial step towards monitoring policy implementation, baseline information needed to be established. For this purpose, the first report of indicators for ADB’s energy sector operations (2005-2009) was prepared along with a database of these indicators. The Manual for Calculating Energy Output Indicators is a companion publication that explains the methodology used by staff in arriving at the figures in the said report.
